Fort Myers
The marina is within a few minutes walk into town so thats what we did, took a walk and ate at a smashing place called The lodge.
On the way we saw one of the local residents in the marina, she does a smashing balancing act while she dries out
Fort Myers isn't too far from Naples which we love and only a few hours drive to Fort Lauderdale to meet up with friends and go to buy the boat spares we needed to replace. The marina offered us a much better rate if we stayed longer so we rented a car and had fun.

Relaxed in Naples on my birthday, strolled around the town one day and ate stone crab again then went to a store and bought more and bought them back to the boat to eat.
We needed to consider the amount of power we need to keep the batteries charged the conclusion was to install solar panels, on top of the bimini was the only option and working out how to do it. Another trip to Fort Lauderdale to buy the panels and all the other components, brackets, cables and controller. There you go we have the bits now all we have to do is fit them or Don that is!

Bring on the sunshine
I have a feeling we will be back here next year, Fort Myers has a lot going for it, friendly, easy to get most things and lots of places to eat.
